| We traveled to Ukraine to find our Katie. She became our daughter on January 18, 2002. She was 4&1/2-years-old. The picture to the left is two months after we arrived home. She is wearing 18-month size clothing and is developementally and physically 18-months-old. She was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsey once we arrived home and in this picture is wearing her glasses for the first time in her life and loving what the world looks like.. |
| This is Katie in June of 2002. She was 5-years-old. She took her glasses off for this picture. This picture was on her birthday cake and edible. Cool huh? She is becoming quite the American girl. |

| Katie loves to be the Momma and caregiver. She loves to play with her younger brothers and sisters. This year we found a soccer league for kids with disabilities so Katie was over the moon getting to play soccer again. She still loves school. She now has a big sister a year older than her and loves that. Her favorite songs are from High School Musical." Her favorite TV personality is Hanna Montana. And her favorite playmate is still her nephew, Jake. Katie is progressing and just blowing us away with all her accomplishments. |
| Favorite Moments with Katie: Mommy: My favorite is anytime she has succeeded at something. She gets such a beautiful expression on her face that just lights up the room. (Still so in 2008) Daddy: My favorite is when I walk through the door. How excited she gets as she runs up to me yelling, "Daddy! Daddy!" (Still so in 2008) |
